Picking out a tune is something I do most days, so I thought about turning it into a song...so here it is.

I’m [C]picking out a tune as
I [F]see the morning sun.
The [C]world keeps spinning
Round and round and [F]round.
The [C]notes are coming out
So [F]softly and so sure
On a [C]path that only
These notes could have [F]found.
And they [Am]take me along
As I [G]try and hold on
To the [Am]notes that seem
To lead me as I [G]follow.
I [F]don’t think about
The [C]fate of the world or
What [G]may or may not
Happen to[Am]morrow.

And the [F]tones as I play
That [C]color the path that
I am [F]on for the day.
[C]And while I play
[F]Everything is right.
[C]So I keep playing
On and on into the [F]night,
Un[Am]til my finger tips
[G]Whisper in my mind
That I can [Am]put away the tune,
And come back [G]after a little time.
So [F]I put away
These [C]tunes for the day
And you know the [G]world seems
To have gotten along just [Am]fine.
