Im starting barre chords and need an easy song
Start with a song that used barre chords closer to the soundhole, they'll be easier while you're learning
Pick one of your favourite songs and play it using barre chords instead of open.
Pretty much any rock song using I IV V chord progressions.
G C D
A D E
F Bb C
etc
You'll play a barred E shape, and a barred A shape a lot. This will also help you transpose quite a bit, as it's the same shape and pattern from E to E all the way down the neck.
A few good songs to practice Barre chords:
* Wicked Games - Chris Isaak (E, A, Bm)
* What's Up? - Four Non Blondes (A, D, Bm)
* Sweet Baby James - James Taylor (D, Bm, F#m, G, A)
Good luck!
I learned with Night Moves...gool 'ol CGF about a million times...barre the G and the F (of course), and practice till it hurts!
almost anything by Jack Johnson, in particular "Times like these" and "Flake". Let you me know if you are familiar with the songs and I'll try to help
