Re: Blues Friday New Page
A pretty lady with a ton of talent! Many blues players stick with one type of guitar, but she uses a real variety ... nice to hear.

Thank you . it is nice to see someone who actually finger picks and in all the songs I listen too she never used a pick and many of the guitars are vintage models.
CG, good to see and hear the young ones keeping the blues alive.
IT is good to see and hear. Thank you for taking time to listen to them.

Excellent features, CG. I especially enjoyed the father-son collaboration, and it's pretty clear that Jon doesn't need anyone's shadow to stand in ... he's fantastic all on his own. His technique and expression remind me a lot of the great Joe Bonamassa, with his smooth confidence.
This Friday I am featuring Erja Lyytinen who is a Finnish vocalist, guitarist and songwriter. Her awards include European Blues Awards - Best Guitarist 2017, Finnish Blues Awards - Best Artist 2016, Bluesmatters - International Artist 2016, Independent Blues Broadcasters Association (UK) , and Canada´s Blues Underground Network .

CG
She is wonderful !
I really, really, really loved the last one - "Something inside of me" it was perfect blues in my opinion.
(and I as I type that sentence - I just got a rush that those words would be the a great title for a blues song _ " {I got the} Perfect Blues" !
What a double edged sword that would be!
Thanks for sharing
JIM
Jim thank you so much and it means so much that you liked her. Most guys use a pick and most of girls finger pick at least for most blues.
Another first-time introduction to me by CG ... well done! Finland is another country I don't think of when blues come to mind, but obviously that's now changed. I was interested in the different tones she has, so went to her website to learn more. Her blue G&L ASAT is a gorgeous guitar, and she also has an impressive pedal effects board, as described here:
This Friday I am featuring Tab Benoit who is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Here are his current tour dates: https://www.tabbenoit.com/tour-dates/

Thank you Jim and glad you liked Tab Benoit. If I did not tell where he was from you could tell when he talked.
Very good, CG ... terrific singing and playing!
Today I an featuring West Weston who is from England where he still lives although he has given concerts in the US and Canada. He has since he was a child had to wear sun glasses and it has to do with how his eyes dilate more than normal. He is considered the best Harmonia players in the world and he also sings all vocals.

Fantastic selections, CG ... I especially enjoyed "It's You That Wears the Ring", and the various people who came and went during his performance. Some were really into it, some were pretending they weren't there, and there were even a few oddballs. I cracked up when the guy walked in wearing his "Invisibility Shirt", because I could plainly see him! And as you say, he can really punch the blues outta that harmonica.
CG
I quite agree with TF !
West is good - looked like a great venue. The dancers added to it.
I need that invisibility shirt !
Thanks for sharing
Glad both TF wand TIGLJK liked him.
This Friday I am featuring Chris Smither who is an American folk/blues singer, guitarist, and songwriter. His music draws deeply from the blues . He has been on tour for a long time and is basically a one man show.

CG- he is really good - I like that style of playing.
Fave of the bunch was nobody home, but all were excellent.
the one comment on the kiling the blues song said " Chris introduced the song once by telling the story of performing it live and having someone come up to him afterwards and say something along the lines of, "I don't think I have ever heard that song performed more to my liking." Chris responded - saying that he didn't write it and that it was written by Roly Salley, to which the commenter responded, "I know, that's me."
Thanks for sharing it.
Jim
Thank you Jim. I am happy you liked him. It has been a long time since I have seen a one man that does it all and does it that that good.
Cheers CG this is a song of Chris Smither attached below that I like "Leave the Light On" . .

Peatle Jville thank you for listening to this one. I looked at almost every thing I saw and ultimately you have to pick some and not list every thing someone has done or it would be too long for someone to have time to have time to listen to them.. The you posted had some different and unusual instruments.
CG your doing an excellent job of bringing the Blues to Chordie keep up the good work.
This Friday I am featuring Joe Bonamassa. (I I previously listed him with just one song that did not do him justice)
