Here are The Kildares doing a killer version of "Whiskey in the Jar". I love the haunting viola intro, with some flanger/reverb/delay tastefully applied:
Meet renowned cellist Cremaine Booker. His rendition of the theme "Time" from the movie "Inception" is one of the most soulful things I've ever heard ... here comes the tears again. Stunningly lovely!
He is very good...check this out - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfKs3ProM7M
the 2nd guy (Morf) is just ridiculously talented. All of them were good, but he was amazing.
Thanks for the share TF !
Jim
Wow ... that's a talented selection of performers. Thoroughly enjoyed them, TIG ... thank-you!
The "Band Geeks" have just surpassed their impressive array of quality covers, with this 18-minute version of Yes's magnum opus "Close to the Edge". I don't think a basement band has ever done a cover as ambitious / amazing as this one. If you're a Yes fan, get ready for the goosebumps!

(NOTE: you may recognize bassist Richie Castellano, whose been a guitarist for Blue Oyster Cult since 2004)
This guy does "Shine on you crazy Diamond" on acoustic guitar:

Here's a brilliant cover of Deep Purple's "Lazy", featuring Jimmy Barnes (vocals), Arlan Schierbaum (keyboard), and Joe Bonamassa (guitar). This is freakin' awesome ... these guys really kicked this one into high gear:
Cool! It sounds very well
Here's Italian prog band Barock Project, with their cover of Emerson Lake & Palmer's "Pirates" ... very ambitious, and very well done:
An orchestral cover by the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, of the theme from "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" ... cool:
The Counting Crows do some great covers. Here are
Big Yellow Taxi (Joni Mitchell) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_cao5y1SoU
Friend of the Devil (Dead) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fcpwFXz4gQ
I also love this Dave Matthews Whiter Shade of Pale https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OBgOmLopm0
Here are brothers Arye & Gil Breslev performing Pink Floyd's "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" while busking in Jerusalem in 2013 ... amazing work:

Our new "Blues Friday" feature by Classical Guitar featured an amazing cover of The Who's "Love Reign O'er Me". Whenever I think of the song, this terrific cover by Heart comes to mind ... what a voice Anne Wilson has!
Here's an unusual yet enjoyable cover of Toto's "Africa", played by Amy Turk on the harp:
TF she is very good on the harp and great to listen to and is different. The harp is not an easy instrument to play.
