I was playing around on my keyboard and came up with this pop song instrumental.
Its not written in stone and may never complete it.
But thought i would post to get some feed back. Good or bad.

A good bit of Prog Rock going on there Ctech.
I agree with Peatle...very prog, so much so that it could have been an intro for a Yes song?
The structure of the song is great but I think if you added a counter melody it would give the tune a little extra oomph?
So apart from that and the small timing issue, bring the bass up a touch and I think you'll have a winner.

I liked the 'sitar' sound in the lead, but the electronic toms didn't really fit in there; although the bass drum sounded in place .... overall it was quite good, though ...

Thanks for the input Phill ,counter melody? ill give that a try. Yes timing is a bit out ill fix that . I was thinking of breaking it down in to samples then constructing it again. All time consuming. If i get it together ill repost.
Thanks Classical Guitar glad you like them. I dont think im talented i cant play as well as others and some write much better song but i enjoy what i do and thats what really counts.

Ray Davis of the Kinks once said he always wrote his songs on piano, something to do with "because I'm not very good at the piano". And I liked the synth drums!

Hahah - when it's your own, you "improvise" 
I know how most people think from doing so many concerts though a long time. To me and the others that will hear you, you make it as perfect as reasonable. There is though a chance to make it so good no one could hear any variation.
Your instrumental track is very folk/rock so I was expecting your words to be more "gothic"? Inasmuch as I wasn't expecting a dig at modern dating...tinder, texting, followers etc. Expertly written and snuck in under the radar, so to speak. I'll be interested to hear the finished version.

Thanks Phill ill post when its done. I surprise myself some times i start of going in one direction them bam the words just come from nowhere. I was playing around yesterday and come up with something that sounds ok folky or maybe im thinking as a western film opening track i would love to put a story lyric to it but my minds blank a the mo. I cant post the music as it realy rough me humming and whistling over guitar with added bass and sort of a drum track i played on keyboard. Im no drummer so sort off out of sync and made up as went along. Hard to keep playing for over 3mins.
