Enjoy!
Hilarious and exactly what would happen if I tried to re-form a band of some kind.
Even though I have all the instruments and amps and no one need bring a thing.
Kinda sad too, when you think about it.
One thing: Those tom-toms (at the end) aren't really mounted for optimal playing, though, are they?
Thanks, neo!

Hysterical
Bill
great commentary on the Tom-toms
Neo
loved it,haven`t heard anything new from you for a while.
Hey Neo ... great to hear from you! This is awesome, funny, and pretty typical (unfortunately). Smiles all around, mate!

Sorry guys, been pretty busy - I've been trying to get a couple of songs in the FSOTM section of the forum, but I'm even struggling to get time to do that ... time will hopefully get a bit free-er later in the year
Cheers
Richard
Oh, and it's Fathers day in Australia, so happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there!!!
Cheers
Richard
Echoing Richard's Father's Day wish to all my mates from Down Under. This is the only song I know which was recorded in the 60's honoring Father's Day. Enjoy.

Happy belated Fathers Day to everyone. Bill and Neo two brilliant father day songs you put up. Bill great to see you back here on Chordie again.
Thank you guys.
This my favorite song when I think of honoring a great dad
I would imagine every father who is a musician would like to have this song palyed about him

just a simple version these guys sang at their dad's funeral
Jim
Completely forgot about the Dan Folgelberg song, Jim - a very nice rendition of one of my favorites.
Richard, I had never heard of these guys before and will make it a point to look them up as I like their sound very much. What does "dudded" mean? (I read that in the comments below the video).
It's awesome that you guys remembered those songs and being proved wrong turned out to be a good thing! I love it!
Pete, been missing you, mate. I'm not like easybeat and can't join you for a pint, so this is where you and I have to meet and chat. I'll try to show up more often.

Here's their Wiki page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weddings_Parties_Anything
"dudded" in the context of the comment is when the woman won't allow the man access to the children, urban dictionary says "swindled, rooked, done": https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=dudded - it's probably Australian slang ...

Slang and dialects have been a life-long fascination of mine. Every language has them, but English is so wide-spread around the globe that it seems to have many more variations .. all of them very interesting and enjoyable.

Strewth, we've got enough slang to take you beyond the black stump and back .... !!!
