Yup, we're missing our guy Peatle. It does seem to be the nature of Discussion Forums everywhere. Everybody takes a break now and then, for all kinds of reasons.

Re: Paging The "LOREMASTER!"

Thank you Bill for thinking about me. I am doing good but get a bit frustrated as I no longer have the full range of movement in my arms and hands which restricts my playing nowdays. My days have been filled reading up on all the other things that interest me. During the day I do alot of walking now i have retired chatting to all types of folk on the street.  I also have a few young folk who I have been mentoring helping them to get them back on track and fill their potential  after falling of the rails a bit.   Neo, TF and EB thank you for your kind thoughts. My 97 year young mother and other family members have also been filling my time making it hard to touch base with all the people that interest me. I haven't had much in the musical and poetry side going through my head recently. The song Easybeat has mentioned Shadows On The Wall to do it properly would  need a  kids choir singing as part of the backing vocals. I have put a rough version of just me singing it and playing piano recorded on my cell phone up on soundcloud. I have also posted the lyrics on there if anyone wants to have a read. It is about a child waking up in the middle of the night and taking fright at seeing shadows cast by the full moon  on their bedroom wall.

Peatle
I like your song. U R correct - I think a children's choir would add just the right element to make it superb.  It's very good even w/out them, however.
Hope you enjoy the days  ahead

Re: Paging The "LOREMASTER!"

i'm in total agreement with Jim. the melancholy feel given by the electric piano and the way you sing is perfect. if you intend to add a kids choir put them on the second half maybe with a drum track and guitars to give the song some extra power....not that it needs it.

glad to see you posting again

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

Re: Paging The "LOREMASTER!"

Always thinking about you, dear friend. As I have said before, this is my family - albeit online and that we'll probably never meet. I know you through your words and music and I believe most of you would agree with me that music is the best way to know someone. I'm on the way to listen to your latest work. Just know you're missed when you're gone for a bit. That's "family" for ya.

NO idea why I cannot post on SoundCloud, but here, Pete is what I wrote:

"What a beautiful lullaby, Pete! The idea of the children's choir is a great one and I suggest you contact a school or nearby church and have them sing a chorus. So proud of you for this and all you create, my brother! Keep it up!"

Re: Paging The "LOREMASTER!"

Cheers Richard  Kia ora, greetings to you and all who have posted here from New Zealand known also as Aotearoa or in English  Land Of The Long Whte Cloud.
A big  thank you everyone Phill and Jim also TF  great to have your feedback on chordie..
My friend Easy Beat introduced me to chordie it has become a place I love to visit. He also introduced me to the wonderful Jandle.
Bill you and Dondra are a very  important part of this land known as Chordie a place where hands reach out to each other over land and  oceans. We of chordie at times are all rowing the same (waka) canoe with the differant paddles of music and caring for each other. As they say in Maori  He waka eke noa  (A canoe which we are all in with no exceptions)   We are all in this together in other words. Thank you for having me aboard this waka  and I appreciate the way you Bill  encourage us all  to take turns at paddling our music and knowledge around this world. I like your feedback on my lullaby.
