Topic: Birthday Poem
I have two daughters. This is a poem I wrote to my youngest daughter.
Happy Birthday
Who would of thought,
to my surprise,
The day I looked in my daughter's eyes,
That I would find my sunshine,
my star,
my pearl,
All the thoughts in my head,
of this little girl.
You came to me early on the fifth of August,
That day in my life,
I will always remember.
I did not know who I was as a man,
'till the moment you were placed inside of my hands.
And it was at that split moment,
when you opened your eyes,
your true identity was no longer disguised.
I was given an angel, from heavens' above,
The test as a man,
A little girl to love.
I believe by God,
I must have been touched.
I love you daughter,
I love you so much.
Your face lights up,
whenever you smile,
A glow that can last an endless mile.
Your friends,
they love you,
your mom and I the same,
You are the completion to our circle,
the caboose of our train.
So whatever you may decide to do in your life,
A wonderful mother, a manager, and wife.
I can say this without any doubt at all,
I will always be there to catch you if you fall.
And another promise I make to you from me,
Daddy's little angel you will always be.
Who would of thought,
to my surprise,
What an incredible mother you are
And what a wonderful face.
Now you are feeling what we did with you,
And your foot is in the other shoe.
You have done is all with love and compassion,
All with your style and passion.
Happy Birthday
May the best of both of us always be with you
Your mother and I sure knew how to stew.
Celebrate today, tomorrow and always dance,
And when you need to be firm, make a stance.
May life be a joyful ride,
Happy Birthday
Our star, our pearl, our sunshine.
Our faces light up whenever you smile!
Music is life, that why our hearts have beats.
