Topic: Change Instrument in Songbook
I tried changing instrument to "Ukulele C-tuned", but my songbook defaults to "Guitar" still.

Hi Tim, I believe that if you go to the 'Resources' page and make the change to your account there under 'Change Settings' then your selection will be reflected in all your songbooks and also whenever you view a new song. Hope this helps. James

Sorry Tim - There have been some recent programming changes and perhaps the 'Change Settings' feature is suffering some unintended consequences.
Could you please send a detailed bug report to Admin via the 'Chordie Feedback' on the Resources page? Include a link to your songbook.

The instrument selection in the songbooks are done locally to each book. Dropdown box below the songs in the songbook.
Changing your default settings will only affect now songs you are viewing.

Unfortunately, this doesn't work for me - whether in "Songbook" or not.

I thought maybe it might have worked in Firefox as it did not work in my Explorer but it doesnt work in either.

I thought that too. I haven't got IE as I don't use Windows, but I tried it in Opera and it doesn't work there either.

Make sure you do the following.
* Go to your songbook.
* Scroll down to the bottom.
* Change the instrument
* Press "change" (important)
* Press "view/print songbook". (The instrument changes will not show up if you go to the individual songs, but will show up in the complete book)
Could you verify that this you are doing all of this?

Ah yes. This works. A suggestion then: Perhaps you need to mention this somewhere?
