Trevor, this is great! The only improvement I can imagine is a solid drum beat on the second half maybe 2 minutes in. A nice rip roaring guitar solo about the last third. Other than that I think you've nailed it.
For those that don't know, Aethelflaed was Alfred the greats daughter, I think?
I see you've taken Open Your Eyes down...shame, I know I'm at fault...sorry. listened to that also, and it's a fine song recorded in a Simon and Garfunkel style, with a Bob Dylan-esque vocal performance. Anyone that haven't listened to these two tracks should do so...you won't be sorry.
Thanks Phill, I think I get what you mean I'm not good at guitar solos though. I'll see if I get inspired. Thank you for your encouraging words about Open your eyes. I wanted it to sound like that beings it is protest song" folk against communism" haha! I also kept it simple so anyone could sing it. maybe I'll upload just the track without the chords and lyrics for if anyone wants a listen only if that's OK though otherwise it's on my soundcloud.

Ps yes its athelfleda the warrior queen of mercia respected by all Welsh, Scots,Irish and of cause the English. She was one hell of a women if legend is to be believed.

Cheers Brian I may do some more work on it yet but I don't like to be diliberate I like it to flow from me. I've got three sons but if I had a daughter I would have named her Athelfleda meaning Noble beauty to honor this great lady. I'm pleased you liked "open yours eye " that much you kept a copy.

Thanks Peatle Jville much appreciated. I feel now more then ever we should get back in touch with our past , they lived harsh lives but saw great beauty in everything. We live easy lives and only see uglyness. An example modern art degenerate, empty and boring , compare that to classical art meaningful, pure and beautiful.

Hi Phill, yes they are annoying but I ignore them in the same way I do all avertisments the one reason I no longer have a TV and why I got rid of the internet the constant bombardment with stuff that went against my beliefs. It was so bad it was affecting my mental health. Me being a Cancerian I'm very sensitive to the sublime messages.

trevor, i have no idea of what you mean by "cancerian" or "sublime messages", but i'm with you all the way. i find it difficult to believe in any kind of divine being when you see all the death and suffering that's been caused in the name of "God" of any religion.
Phill I totally agree. That why I like the old way. No vengeful god. The only time violence is nessasary is to protect your kin and land. Not for personal gain. Cancer is my starsign.
