I checked out the chords to this Hollies song and wow! That's one tough one for the ol' Strummerboy for sure! Another thing - and this is something we don't talk about much - is the timing. This song has lyrics and music which take paying close attention to. In other words, as you play and sing, you also have to think about the upcoming word and what chord fits there. I hope I'm conveying this correctly and that it makes sense.
An example would be the word "light" which has the dreaded B7 chord; following that, there's the C and look out! Here comes C minor and the C chord on the word "eat". In other words, a lot of "turns" and "curves" and you better be there to meet that word or the whole thing's gonna be one big bust.
