Welcome to Chordie.  Most everyone here is glad that I don't use video.  Some have actually seen me. They were barely able to contain their desire to run away terrified. It would have been nice to hear your offerings.  Just so you know, you're allowed to submit to old months.  I'm still working on Jack & Diane from April, and now I'm going to have to carry Pancho and Lefty into another month because I just haven't had time to work on it.  All that is perfectly fine. Encouraged even.

Thanks - it's good to know old months are still open; I've been meaning to do some videos for a while, cause I realized all the while I was keeping the static stuff from the paper, but not the visual stuff. I'm still stuffing around with video, so I hope to have something soon(ish) ...

Hiya neophytte .....  welcome and great to see you joining it smile   Look forward to seeing what you come up with for the FSOM .... you can try to cover them the same as the original or make them your own .... whatever takes your fancy.

On that note, just went and watched your cover of "I had to say I love you" .... very nice ..... you covered it well, timing great, and you had a lovely soft voice with that particular song which suited it.  Well done smile

P.S. your braver than me, I haven`t been brave enough to put myself up on video.  I did one video of myself singing something quite a while back and thought nope, not doing that again lol

Ok here is my attempt at ~Sundown~ one of Zurfs challenge songs.  Sorry Zurf, I didn't do any fancy chord G5/7 like you talked about and only recorded this quick so this one was my second attempt as I knew i was running out of time to record for this month.  Anyway, here it is https://soundcloud.com/ukulelejan/sundown

I did re re-cord Knock-in on Heavens Door Peatle too using the tamborine like Zurf did but then realized I had already done this song way back on guitar, so didn't upload it.

Richard I like your version. I like the way you make guitar playing that would be difficult for most people  look so relaxed. You say your voice isn't great, but I actually I like it's laid back quality.
Jandle good to hear your voice and playing again. Easy Beat was telling me the Now Is Only Once Poem I wrote has had 4780 views.
I remember you did an amazing job of making  it into a song. I have just  listened to it again after not  hearing it for a long time  and loved your version. Attachment below for anyone who hasn't heard Jandle's  top version.

Liked it! Neat lively version. It's nice to be able to pull off a song so quickly.  it's taken me years to find a version of the song I like, and I bought a 12 string specifically to play this song that's how much I like it.  Still have years of arranging to go now that I've gotten a chord set that I like.

Thanks - I vaguely remember hearing this on the AM radio in the car as a kid; had to look up a YouTube video to get the gist of how it went smile
