Topic: My Guitar And Amp Family

http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff71/Drummerboy49/006_1.jpg

Due to the kindness (you guys are WONDERFUL) of two Chordians I have a new amp and new guitar! Zurf's Fender ("Mini-Me") on the far right and in the middle (and front) from our Amy ("Amy"). I'm not sure, but in French, I believe "Amy" is part of their word for friend.

Thanks again for lifting my spirits!

Bill

Bill, Chordie has some of the finest people on the planet and you are one of them.

Pete

Thank you, dear friend and I am grateful for every one of you. Indeed you all have made the rough seas we have traveled much smoother and given us hope for a better future.

Thanks to you, your Maree and everyone here. I am not ashamed to admit having a few tears rolling down my cheeks while writing this.

Thank You All.

Wow that gold top looks the biz. Very impressive collection there I hope you're giving them all the attention they need?

Do you play I SAW HER STANDING THERE on the (Hoffner?) Violin bass? Good finger excersise.

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

What Peatle said !!!

Great looking set-up, Bill ... enjoy!

Bill
Is it easier playing Bass guitar since you have so ability and experience as a drummer ?
Beautiful set up !

Re: My Guitar And Amp Family

Dear Guys: I wish I could answer your questions with an enthusiastic YES!, but every time I sit down and get ready to tackle some tabs/chords, something else comes out of nowhere and kicks me in the rear end, and I'm afraid I have gotten a little superstitious. I am sure that those of you who got together at Amy's must have discussed my  ridiculous run of bad luck, and that's the way it is, friends. I have everything I need to play/practice, it's just that I have to set priorities and right now my priority is Dondra and moving us into a smaller place.

I'm sorry if that sounds a bit harsh, I sure don't mean it that way, but "Mr. God" has dealt me some pretty rotten hands lately, and I'm trying to figure it all out.

The one constant throughout all of this has been my Chordian Family, and I love y'all so much and thank you for being here for me.

The Beatles' song "I Don't Want To Spoil The Party (So I'll Go)" comes to mind, but I'm so glad you kind folks won't let me do that.

Do me a favor: Hug your kids and tell them you love them and do it often. If they scratch their heads thinking Mom or Dad have lost their minds, let them. smile

Re: My Guitar And Amp Family

Bill my friend, you do whatever you need to, priorities come first, we'll be here waiting for your reports as they come in, when you have time. I cant imagine your loss, or should I say I don't want to imagine it. I've always felt it's the kids that bury the parents not the other way round. So my friend look after dear Dondra, and don't forget to look after yourself.

Re: My Guitar And Amp Family

Thank you, Phill and by the way, that's a Rogue Beatle Bass. The price difference between it ($200.00 USD) and the Höfner authentic is about $1200.00 USD! There's also a little difference in the size...... Maybe in the next life? smile

Who cares as long as it plays good. It's like a pair of slippers and your brand new brogues....one is comfy the other hurts your feet. Which do you wear around the house. Comfort wins every time.

Even if you don't have time to play, they're a joy to look at.....

Re: My Guitar And Amp Family

Looking good there, Bill.  The guitars and amps will be there when you're ready to spend time with them.  The worst that can happen is the strings rust a bit and need a change.  They'll wait.  As always, take your time and do what you need to for your lovely Dondra.  I always say, family comes first - no matter what.  Yeah, we're the Chordie Family, but we have no pressing issues to attend to here.  Hugs and kisses for the two of you, and gabbing the kids and giving them some as well, especially with the two of you in thought.
