I was wondering if anyone on chordie knows of well known songs covered in a differant style that work real good that they can share on chordie?????

TF that is real cool version Robert Fripp played guitar on David Bowie original. My friend Robert spent a bit of time with Fripp in the States.. My friend was supose to play guitar on tour with him but was unable to get the right papers to play in USA in time for that tour. Apparently Fripp is real nice dude laid back. not caught up in any type of hype. I l;ike Led Zep also I think the Hearts cover is a bit more folky then the original. I will attach a medley of Simon and Garfunkel done with just 7 voices.,

The Punch Brothers bluegrass band have covered many genres. I like their covers of the Beatle's Paperback Writer and Baby's in Black but this cover of Bach's Brandenburg Concerto hits it out of the park.

Beamer ... man o man those Indigo Girls are incredible! I've never heard them before, but this version of "Watchtower" has made me an instant fan.
Beamer thank you for introducing me to Indigo Girls they are great.Telsa are new to me also excellent show. I will put this version of Stairway To Heaven done with Australian instruments because I like the way its done,,.
I must point out that the guy singing it Rolf Harris has disgraced himself and is doing prison time, But you cant take away from him the originality of this version of a Led Zep song.
