I was going to record Wish You Were Here last month but MOJO1 nailed it so well that I decided to let it slide.
I'm going to pass on Jack And Diane...can't fit any harp into it, so far.
Listened to them both this morning Joe, and liked them both real well.

Very nice. As nice as your guitar playing was, I liked your singing best. Really nailed it.

My style is really sloppy finger picking degenerating into random strums.

Wow, I just spent the afternoon listening to everyone`s covers after being away again for the last couple of weeks, so it took me awhile to get through them all.
Firstly ... fantastic effort everyone for having a go at these covers .... just brillant 
Secondly .... the effort by everyone has been fantastic! I can honestly say each and every cover by everyone was great, the talent on here in Chordie is amazing! I enjoyed listening to them all, my foot tapping along to each, trying not to sing along so that i could actually listen to you all singing (but because you all sang your versions so good it was hard not to sing along with you all). Loved the different styles, different voices, harmonica`s on some, wow!!! Felt like i was cheering each and everyone of you on!
Thirdly .... 'The Weight' seems to have been the most popular song to perform by most of you .... with 'Jack and Diane' only being done by BGD. Any other takers on this song before the end of the month? Would love to hear more people have a go at this song

Jandle - I'm still learning Jack and Diane. It uses some chord shapes that I'm not familiar with and my fingers are slow learners. Once I get that, getting the strumming rhythm that's contrapuntal to singing with the verse and chorus each being similar but not quite the same will be the next challenge. It's going to be a new threshold song for me, I think. I'm having to learn quite a bit about muting, chord shapes, alternate chords, embellishments, etc. to make it work. Which makes it a really great choice for CFSOTM. However, like Ripple was late, I think my April song will be performed some while after April has ended.

Wow! I really enjoyed what you brought to the table with this song. It did have a bit of a funk feel to it. JGreen has created the Funk/Folk Fusion genre and I LIKE IT!

You always bring a new perspective and rhythm to songs I would never otherwise consider. Very nice.
I enjoyed listening to all the versions of this song...this is fun.
We could have a great jam session if we could all get together.

I have to say, if this was a competition, it would be so difficult to choose a winner! Everyone has done a little something different with each version of their covers to make it their own, and make it work. I just love it!
BGD - you are one brave soul to cover Jack and Diane! I've been TRYING, but just can't get down a strum pattern that works! GAAHHH! You've got some mad skills, sir!
Ok here's the cheat on Jack and Diane. Those chords inversions in the key of a are super unwieldy. So I cheated and moved it down to g using normal g d c chord shapes. Makes the song much easier. Don't tell anyone though.

So i just close my eyes & see what happens,it often comes as a surprise to me
to hear what i`ve done when i play it back.somehow i changed the chords as well, go figure!
but having a ball,i guess that is the main thing.
i`ve been getting a bit of flack about my stuff lately,but hey, no problem.At least they took the time to listen,
