Topic: NPD

new pedal day.

i have a Wilson bass guitar which i enjoy playing but there are no tones it's either full on or full off. so after 40 years of dank or dummm, i've splashed out on a new stomp pedal; a Beringer BD121 V-TONEDRIVER DI, the reviews were good and so was the price and the range of tones is just what i was looking for. i sold my bass amp around the time Elvis died which was when i went solo so i just play it through my Alessis mixer into my Tascam. big smile....

so that's me done for another year.

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

Re: NPD

Stomp boxes are like crack.  One of the guys I play with has an MXR Carbon Copy delay pedal that I simply love the sound of, but recently it's been acting up.  So he bought another one. I took the original home to see if I could figure it out.

I put in a new one of these...

Fixed it right up, good as new!  big_smile

I've got a huge Zoom bass effects rack that I rarely use, and should.  It's pretty handy, but does way more than I can.

Enjoy the new stomper!

Someday we'll win this thing...

Re: NPD

Congrats on the pedal!  Berhingers may be a knock off company, but I have some of their stuff and love it!  There is also the Digitech BP90 that's great for DI.  My son has an older one i think its a BP 50 or something, takes battery's also (none of their other multi boxes do in the RP line), either way it really sounds good right into the PA or the dinky Fender bass amp we have.

Jerome- WAS THAT ALL THAT WAS WRONG? LOLOL what about the new one he cant get working?

Re: NPD

Congrats on your new pedal, Phill ...

Just looked these up online, and you've got yourself a proper rig to get a lot more out of your bass. Nice choice!

Happy NPD!  I don't know much about em, so I'll just say - Have fun!

Re: NPD

Thanks all and merry Christmas. Jerome, both my new pedals are battery or power supply, it's great though not to have to worry about the battery running out half way through a gig or recording. WARNING! Don't leave your jacks plugged in when not in use.....they run out.

Re: NPD

I have a Berhinger chorus pedal that is in constant use. My only complaint is it has to be plugged in, no place for a battery. But it works well and was fairly cheap. Enjoy your new pedal

Yep.  I'm guessing it's the same problem.  The battery in that one came from the same box.  I'm going to record a lot with it until he makes me give it back.  big_smile
