Topic: VETERANS' DAY!!!! So.....

........ how about some military tunes, (blues, rock, whatever ----- "Fortunate Son" comes to mind)

And a Happy Veterans' Day to ALL of us.

Including my friend and favorite Marine, DOUG ----- Thought I'd forgotten, didn'tcha? He also happens to be the only Marine I know on Chordie, but the sentiment remains the same.....

Mash that is was one of my all time favourite comedy series. It is a shame they don't make more ones like that now days. Even though it was set In korea it was a favourite of one of my Uncles. My cousin was in a later conflict, Vietnam, he was a medical doctor over there with the Australian Army. Sadly while working away in a Operating theatre on a wounded soldier he was killed by a stray missile. Anyway my Uncle told me Mash made him think back with laughter about his son's life every time he watched it. I hope that you Veterans out there are receiving, care and good reconition from the countries you are from.

The German Army (I myself am German on my Mother's side). This is an ARMY song, NOT a Nazi song. What many people do not realize is that many German soldiers did NOT swear allegiance to that idiot. However they still endured the pain following WWII.

Happy belated Veteran's day.  Thanks to all of you who served... and of course to those who are currently and will in the future.
