Hank Jr. was more of a free-spirit than his father, which you can hear in his music ... great choice.

That was fantastic. I am a huge country fan and that made my early morning great!!
After watching that several times I think I watched 10 more videoes of June Carter in her youth. OMG - the innocence , beauty, talent just jumps out at you. So much different than the trash and vulgarity that we see so much of today. Thanks for reminding me of a better world!!
Good morning all... a rainy day,, and

Lots of fun happening with these guys ... and the audience is dialed in also. Good one!
I don't know if this is "Country" or "Rockabilly", but here's a guy playing guit-steel and his name in Junior Brown and that's his Sweetie next to him. I hope you enjoy it!

PS: Don't forget what Broderick Crawford said at the end of "Stories Of The Highway Patrol":....... "Put your blood in a bank. Not on the highway!"
Oh? You'd like to hear a bit more from Junior? Well, this one needs to be on my friend TF'S "Flying Fingers", but maybe he'll forgive me this one time!

loving willie covering credence,thanks badeye.
Thanks Badeye - That was a pleasure to listen too. She does indeed sound like her Papa - ( plant beans you get beans!) - which is a good thing in this case. The arrangement and performance were superb. She made it her own, yet kept the raspyness voice of Fogerty in in it a bit. I always get something out of your picks it seems. Thanks for all your trouble in doing these and the Friday blues ones as well !
Keep 'em coming buddy !

Okay, I'll add another one..... with an explanation: The town where Dondra and I reside is called Carrollton and is located in Carroll County. This one is played and sung by the late Porter Wagoner whose singing partner was Dolly Parton (yes. "that" Dolly). She's not on this one, but it's a "story song". See how you like it..... It's called "The Carroll County Accident."
While watching/listening you may want to pay attention to the banjo player who is playing the intro lead. I had never seen or heard this done before. Sounds just like a guitar to me.....

Good choice badeye. Orange Suit?
A good choice from a good Nova Scotia boy, born here in Brooklyn, NS (about a half-hour from where I live). Some of the get-ups the ol' time country performers wore probably wouldn't pass muster in today's fashion world. And whatever happened to Brylcreem?
