There's a lot of pick-less notes they use, by tapping the string in the frets. Mine won't give that level of volume or definition when I do it, and neither do several high-end guitars I've tried in several stores. No problem on the electric, due to the way the string vibes are captured magnetically. I suspect they're using a higher fret wire to enable this technique, which is vital to playing this style properly ... more research needed.
