Okay all you Marmite fans out there. MARMITE is a spread that contains, yeast, caramel, wheat, soy and a hundred and fifty other things. It was invented by a guy by the name of Mr Parwill. However, when he came to market it, the name Parwill didn't sound too marketable, so he went the opposite of PA WILL (Parwill) and came up with MA MIGHT (Marmite) True Story !! And oh by the way I don't like it. I perfer Vegemite!!!
cinnamon toast is the best... thats butter and brown sugar then put it inthe oven just long enough for the sugar to get crunchy. Probly the worst thing in the world FOR but dang its good...
I am a boring git!!
I like my toast with low fat slightly salted lurpack butter thinly spread and a wee bit of sea salt on it. Also it has o be granary bread, none of your white additive added sort of bread.
Slightly salted butter with salt.
You're showing your West of Scotland-ness. It's like an extra large bag o chips wi a deep fried pizza, heaps o salt n vinegar and a DIET COKE.
Only kidding mate. Hope you see the funny side.
mmmmm another favourite of mine is Miso, with alfalfa sprouts topped with a creamy poached egg. deeelish
Toast is OK, but for real chewy bliss I enjoy a toasted bagel with a little butter and too much cream cheese. Ideally the butter and cream cheese are room temperature since they taste and smell better that way. Complete the tableau with a big mug of black coffee with chicory, some orange juice (also room temp) and the New York Times crossword puzzle and pencil. Great way to start the day.
oh yeh with smoked salmon,
ah heaven
Here is a tasty little musical treat - hope you find it delicious:
I totally agree james! Am i the only one who CAN believe its not butter?
Hi, Roxmysox,
You want the best butter! then it has to be!

Old Doll.
Has anyone heard from Upyerkilt recently? There has been a heavy dose of food poisoning going around Balloch (his home town) from some dodgy take-a-way restaurant.
Ken, are ye awright man!
Oh yeah babe!!!! I'm climbing on the smoked salmon wagon. This is perhaps the finest tasting food in the history of mankind, except for Count Chocula cereal w/ extra chocolate syrup.........
Hi Les,
For me it has to be cheese and chopped fresh tomato, (no fu**ing marmite)
Marmite tastes like a dog's arse (No empirical evidence, just a hunch)
cheers

I asked my dogs and they said their arses taste better then marmite.........strange as they will eat anything.
My dogs asses are not a bit like Marmite! Yuk!. They have definition of there breed! Marmite" what! Dont know anyone yet who won "Marmite Rear of the Year" even at Cruffs?
Now fine oatlets steeped in cream milk and served with Fresh Blueberries! and a hint of manuka honey! Great recipe for a good rear end! Just have a good look at mine!!! Well what do you think? lol
Old Doll.
Hi
Marmite...... I know some people that think it tastes just like the dogs Bollox.....
Where did that expression come from I wonder?
Old doll
Not bad at all.
Ark
cream cheese and marmite dyn
Hey,
Mmmmm.... Automatically it'd have to be Nutella. But I don't get that anymore.
Otherwise it's hundreds & thousands or "fairy bread". I'm such a child.
On a normal sandwich I like mashed potato as the spread, pepperoni and some kind of salad.
I love potatoes.
