Love the dead ,UJB will like a lot he is a deadhead.
Good stuff BGD ! Keep them coming !
I was at a GD Concert in NY many years ago......
I guess I would say it was " Just a smokin!"
No better way than Jerry and the guys to kick off your thread, BGD! That's a sweet looking custom guitar he's got there, with what look to be P90's for pickups ... all tricked out!
Thanks for this ... looking forward to more!
One of the things I love about jam bands is covers - they aren't afraid to do their own version of famous tunes to pay homage to their musical influences.
Here is Umphrey's McGee covering a song I'm sure you recognize: http://youtu.be/CZ_X55mM5eo
Good song BGD that's a hard one too play.

Outstanding!
Nice arrangement of this Allman Brothers classic ... the band and the audience are obviously enjoying themselves.
This is The String Cheese Incident. Enjoy!

Good band.
Jam Bands - stuff one can just chill and listen to all day. Thanks Joe!
This is very good ... thanks for posting. The percussionist set up a really nice groove, and everyone just got in on it ... smooooooth.

These guys are close to me, I believe! Will have to check them out. Really enjoyed the video.
(edit: oops, never mind... from Indiana.)
Tedeschi Trucks Band. In my humble opinion, Derek Trucks is the best guitar player alive today. What do you think?

Great group, BGD ... thanks for posting. "Best" is one of those very subjective words, and it's hard for anyone to separate "best" from "favorite". That said, Derek sure has some serious chops ... amazing skill.
Bruuuuuuuuce!

Oh yeah ... playing a piano the way it's meant to be played! I hope he never gets arthritis ... what a great touch, and what a great band around him.
Holy crap BGD
They are just excellent !
Guitar is incredible, but rest of players are not fsar behind. It is an fantastic melding of musical talent and performing. The voice of the singer reminds me of Bonnie Raitt.
Thanks for sharing this --- I REALLY enjoyed this ! They have a bunch of other great songs as well.
Great job BGD - looking forward to your next find !

Guitar is incredible, but rest of players are not far behind. It is a fantastic melding of musical talent and performing. The ability to inject just the perfect amount of each instrument, with precise fusion, and at exactly the right moment is superlative! The voice of the singer reminds me of Bonnie Raitt.

Thanks Jim and TF!
This is a favorite band to see live. Every player is a shredder. They have a ton of good stuff too. Here's another jam of theirs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mskcDR2qJq8
Lots of people know Bruce Hornsby but not many know what a killer piano player he is, or how great his band is. I had an opportunity to meet him after a show and we talked music for 45 minutes. One of the kindest, most humble people you'd ever care to meet.
Gained a ton of respect for Hornsby after seeing that, really enjoyed it. And I was dreading clicking it at first thinking it might be Springsteen

I thought you knew me better than that, Jeff.
A day late and a dollar short, ladies and gents. I apologize. I was sidelined with a stomach bug this weekend.
Although neither of these artists are considered "jam" themselves, they all have strong jam roots. Zac Brown's concerts are full of jams, and Robert Randolph is well...you'll see!
