[Em]Mazie is a Mastiff, [G]full of love and drool
She [A]grooves upon the planet, [C]howls at sirens [B7]too
[Em]Scratches where it itches, [G]sniffs at stuff that stinks
[A]Finds the perfect spot to pee and [C]puddles she can [B7]drink
She [G]used to be a saucy wench so [Em]many years ago
[C]Playful and ferocious, a [D]canine dynamo . . . [D7]
But [G]lately she's slowed down a bit, there [Em]is no hurry now
Her [C]routine is perfected, no [D]changes are allowed.[D7]
She [Em]came from Mastiff Rescue, her [G]past a mystery
We [A]saw her picture on the web, for-[C]lorn as she could [B7]be
[Em]Lookin' like an empress [G]fallen on hard times
But [A]since she joined our family, [C]life has been sub-[B7]lime
She [G]used to be a saucy wench so [Em]many years ago
[C]Playful and ferocious, a [D]canine dynamo . . . [D7]
[G]Nowadays she finds a place to [Em]relax in the shade
She's re-[C]tired from her daily [D]squirrel chase crusade.[D7]
[Em]Many times I wonder, just [G]who did rescue who
An [A]excellent companion, [C]faithful fun and [B7]true
[Em]Fuzzy gentle giant, [G]couldn't ask for more
[A]Sounds like rolling thunder [C]snoring on the [B7]floor.
