I'm in a blues phase. Here's one based on an old slang expression.

They'll [F]gitcha when your guard is down, [F]gitcha when it's late
[C]Gitcha very suddenly they [C]won't negotiate.
They'll [G7]gitcha when you're snoring, [F7]sawing up some wood.
So [C]if you're gonna git, better git while the gittin's [G7]good.
They'll [C]gitcha in a conflict, they'll [C]gitcha in a lie
They'll [C]gitcha in the back and won't [C7]even tell ya why.
They'll [F]gitcha on the ground, [F]gitcha up a tree
[C]Gitcha in the end and [C]that's a guarantee.
They'll [G7]gitcha when you're on the road or [F7]in your neighborhood.
So [C]if you're gonna git, better git while the gittin's [G7]good.
And [C]when they finally gotcha, no [C]tellin' what they'll do
It's [C]gonna be unspeakable, some-[C7]thing incredibly cruel
Don't [F]even think about it, it'll [F]only slow you down
[C]Take evasive action, try [C]not to make a sound
Don't [G7]try to make excuses, you'll [F7]be misunderstood.
So [C]if you're gonna git, better [G7]git while the gittin's [C]good.
