Topic: Is there a way??

Been playing guitar for many years and sad to say (even though I have memorized many chords), I still use finger placement diagrams on many songs I play.  My question is this.  I would like to create MS word documents or some type of document with my favorite songs limited to one page per song.  Is there something that exists out there where I can cut and paste finger placements (picture, JPeg) and paste them into a document I create??

Thanks

Word should allow you to embed an image into the document directly.  Simply "copy" the image to your computers clipboard, and "paste" it directly into the document.   It will appear where you have the cursor.

Someday we'll win this thing...

Thanks J.O.  - I can get the image embedded in Word no problem, but I haven't been able to find a good site to copy an image of finger placement from...any suggestions?

Re: Is there a way??

Hi dakunes & welcome to chordie!  You can find tons of chord grids on chordie's 'Resources' page.  In fact, you can click on any chord and then see several alternate fingerings.  I just tried it and these images can be copied.

Another alternative is to use 'chordpro' formats for your songs.  This is what chordie uses to render the pretty songsheets (unless the source file is not chordpro formatted).  The advantage to using chordpro is that the songs are then transposable and printable.

There is a shareware application called 'Songsheet Generator' that yields very nice renderings.  You can download the software.

Hope this helps, and welcome again to chordie's forum.  James
