great map - so much fun !

WOW! There's a whole lot of nothing there. My kinda place if it wasn't for the 8 months of winter.

Maybe some kind Mod could make this a sticky so it doesn't get buried over time.

Jackson Hole is awesome  -  I was there last year !  Fireart is most fortunate to live there!!  It might seem like a whole lot of nothing because you are looking for the wrong things smile

Unclejoe - how did you make this map... pretty cool.

Oh don't get me wrong, that looks like my kind of place. I have friends in NW Montana and would probably consider living there, but winter across the northern tier of the US is more than I would want to deal with. I like having a good, solid 5 month growing season. smile

Anyone can create a map. Follow the link below. Click on "create map". Or you can click on "take a tour" and get step by step instructions.

As this thread grows to multiple pages, I'm going to start putting a link to the chordie map on every page. That way folks won't have to go back to page one to find it.

Re: Geographical Spread On Chordie

I was having deja vu when you started this map, so I did a little digging into google maps and found this old one from a while ago.  This was when the "picks around the world" was in action and we were tracking where the picks had traveled.  smile

*picks around the world - a package of picks and other items were being sent around the Chordie membership.  People would take what they wanted, add something, and then mail it out to the next person that stated they wanted in on the action.

Port Washington Wisconsin the nicest town in America and the quietest, until I start to practice lol

Re: Geographical Spread On Chordie

I've kinda kept track of the active and semi-active Northwest Chordieans, and have a few to add, (starting with me an early poster to this thread)
Doug_Smith, Salem Oregon
Jerome O'neil, Seattle, Washington
Beamer, Whidby (sp?) Island, Washington (also Seattle area, recently moved here)
Justasinger56, Warrenton (Astoria), Oregon
DiamondT, Coos Bay, Oregon
Rickyjack, Shasta, (Northern) California

In some cases I have included the nearest major city for ease in locating on the map.

I used to do tons of business in Germantown and Saukville. Man that is a beautiful place. I miss Lake Michigan.

ETA You have him on the map already.
