Topic: And Now I am More Than A Little Tispy *hic*

Because those folks at the "Burning Butt" fest twisted my arm, I just had to finish 3 big bottles of my German Bier.

Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves. After all I am a 65 year old frat! wink

Going to bed now. Everyone looked really pretty on the movie, although I would like to have seen names, as everyone was sitting. I got Roger (mostly out of view), someone's Grampa who did a killer version of Kansas City; DE who can belt out some story/ballad songs and I wish I could have heard them better, Jim (Mr. Mekidsmom), Amy in her pink mulies (or whatever ya call those things) and the Shel Silverstein-looking Gentleman on the far left whose name I sadly did not catch.

Amy, you and your Jim did really good in organizing and hosting your event which I, instead of "The Burning Man" have called "The Burning Butt" - just for a laugh.

Y'all probably didn't see my note, but Dondra had asked for y'all to sing "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" as a kind of finale. Maybe We can do that when we host our own "Hootenanny".

Good Night and We Love Y'all!

Hi Bill,

I am glad you enjoyed last night, we had a blast. Jim and Amy are excellent hosts, I renewed my acquaintance with 'Dirty Ed', met 'UncleJoesband' for the first time (he brought a 12er with him which I played several times) and met several of Jim and Amy's family. I am looking forward to seeing more of the area and getting some serious photography done. smile.

Roger

By the way, I see you posted your age in this one. In one of your messages last night you mentioned that you were older than I. I am afraid I am 3 years older that you my friend. Third of May 1947 is my birth date. lol

Shel Silverstein is Uncle Joe.

Oh, man! I had him pictured as an older guy, with a don't mess with me look on his face. He looks pretty good, actually - in a Shel Silverstein kinda way. By the way, Shel wasn't only a great cartoonist and author. He also wrote such songs as , "Boy Named Sue", "Sylvia's Mother", The Cover Of The Rolling Stone" (that Jim butchered yesterday - just kidding witcha, dood, okay? smile ) and other great tunes.

I love that 12 string, UJB and I really liked your songs. It was hard to hear sometimes.

Thanks. Zurf, for the help.

Yeah, but you aren't batguano, my dear friend! big_smile big_smile

Which brings up the question; Would you make that long trip to come down South and join in our little soiree (If I can hold out till then, that is)? You'd sure be welcome here in Georgia or Louisiana or Florida (if we can make it there). I know our friend NELA is in Louisiana, and one of our other guys lives in Florida and has hosted (Russell?) - so one of those places for sure. My place is available as well.

We'll have to talk to one of my son's friends who flies a helicopter and have him drop us down some fresh caught Gulf Shrimp. He's done it before over one of our Golf Courses. And of course NELA can bring the ....crawdads.... right? We'll have us a low country boil to beat anything ever experienced! smile

Let's see how it works out, though, okay?

Love you guys and ladies!

I'm getting up there. Had Amy wondering too but she was too polite to come right out and ask. smile Something came up in a conversation and I mentioned; "That's the same year I was born".  Working towards 60 but not there yet.

And I never heard of Shel Silverstein so I had to look it up. AuntJoe says; yeah there is somewhat of a resemblance.

Hey!! Wadda ya mean 65 is "old"? I still canoe, kayak, hike, camp, peddle a bike and can sometimes remember where I left my car keys or cell phone.

A guy I used to fish with told me that God doesn't count days spent fishing and every day you fish means you'll get to stay on this old blue planet one day longer. I figure even if I never fish another day in my life I should still make it to be 100 due to all the time I've spent on the water.

It's all relative anyway, isn't it, DE? smile
