Topic: Part Time Dad

things have been tough these past few years
not enough smiles and too many tears
this aint the way it was supposed to be
your mom and me we couldnt get along
dont know who was right dont care who was wrong
theres just one thing that you got to believe

Im just a part time Dad with full time love
2 days a week just isnt enough
I miss your laugh and I miss your smiles
and every time I gotta take you home
I feel so empty I feel so alone
as I drive along , these empty miles
so I ask myself whats a part time Dad to do?
I'm missing you,I'm missing you

but the judge says I got to stay away
until its my turn for my 2 days
it just isnt fair , I did nothing wrong
as I sit and wonder where you are
I picked up my old Guitar
dried my tears and I wrote this song
