ever start a song and ends up some where totally different than where you thought it was going to go?
again apologies for the recording quality it was done on aa lap top

(D)all my daddy left me was a(G) colt 45
(D)an old rusty church key and these(G) brown(A) blood shot(D) eyes

that old rusty church key well it don't turn no locks
the only door it opened was the school of hard knocks
I took that old 45 and I hit the road
I just let it take me any where the wind blowed

wound up in Texas down on Galveston bay
that's where that old 45 led me astray
in a little biker bar just off highway 3
in the smoky yellow lights of the refineries

a 20 dollar pool game well it ended a mans life
I had my daddy's 45 and he had a knife
came with out warning in the parking lot
I didn't have much time to think I just fired one shot

there was lots of good times then as I recall
life wasn't all that bad before I took the fall
lots of time to recollect in my dingy cell
life aint all that great in the iron bar hotel
