Well Dino, those kids from New Zealand put up a good fight, but after beating the USA I think there was not enough recovery time before they had to face the formidable Islanders. Some big beefy fast fellows for sure! I sure wouldn't want to face more than one of them in a bar fight..... even with back-up!
In the Corps I served with a Sgt. from Samoa.... the nicest guy in the world. One night he got a little deep in his cups up at the enlisted club, it took 8 MPs to subdue and remove him. As luck would have it I was on duty and had to go up to the Provost Marshall's Office and retrieve him. They had him spread eagle against the inside of the cage with leg irons on all four corners (because they didn't have handcuffs big enough to get around his wrists) and I was a bit over 6 foot and 186 pounds, He was about my height and weighed half again me, stout, could deadlift the back half of a M151 Radio Jeep. "what's this all about?" I asked, "they wanted me to leave and I wasn't ready to go" he replied. Anyway I got them to unlock him and we filled out some paperwork and walked back to our little corner of the base. He got a reprimand and had to write a letter of apology to the club manager, but you know...... everyone gave him a wide berth for a real long time..... especially the MPs!
Edited to correct numerical error: M561 is a Gamma Goat 6X6, M151 is the Jeep, the latter loaded to the canvas with comm gear.
