No looks like it is something on the stand next too him or something on his arm/wrist.

phill I enlaged it and it appears it is on a guitar stand I have never seen that done before sideways.😳
well, I took my dementia meds and now I understand a bit more. But looking at it through my eyes, it still looks a little odd.
I guess what he does is sling that electric to his back and bring the accoustic around?
Thanks
Bill
This band Imagine Dragons is now playing live on Yahoo, Live Nation. McCartney likes them a lot.

Steve Howe is the first guitarist I can recall using guitar stands while performing. On the original YESSONGS film (early 70's) he would typically have his Gibson ES-175 strapped on him, and his guitar guy would insert 6 or 12-string acoustics on stands when the song called for it, or his sitar. During "And You and I", he uses his Fender slide, an acoustic in a stand, and his 175.
I always wished Jimmy Page would have used one while performing. Songs like "Over the Hills and Far Away" don't sound as good when the acoustic parts are played on an electric.
My god, Steve Howe!!!!!!! Of course! I didn't realize that was him. He must be, what, in his early 60's? No wonder McCartney was so complimentary! Thanks, TF! Without your explanation, I never would have known that, although I did at one time. Thanks also, for the tech specs. I knew I was in the right place when I saw all those sig lines featuring your gear!

Been a Steve Howe fan since my mid-teens, Strummerboy. I haven't successfully learned how to play a single piece of his repertoire from start to finish either! He's now 67 years old, and understandably has lost some finger speed. Here's a great shot of his using 3 guitars at once:
He's using his Gibson ES-339 here, probably because the thicker 175 would make to far to reach to the acoustic.
