Topic: Bongo boy TV

I have been contacted by Bongo boy Tv an American company with view to transmiting oneof my videos.Do any of our U S members know of Bongo boy or have seen any of their programs.I get the feeling this may be a scam as they ask for a fee for broadcasting ,but on googling them they appear genuine.
As I cant access American Tv any info would be good.

Re: Bongo boy TV

dont send them a penny, ask for a fee for using your video lol

Re: Bongo boy TV

I'd no intention of sending money Russ I strongly believe that the station should pay  or offer a free service to the artist. Just wonder if any one in the US  heard of this outfit I found them via Reverbnation

Re: Bongo boy TV

Grah1 I took a look online for any reviews of the site and found nothing negative, but then again all the links I visited orginated there, so that isn't much of a help to you. They also appear on a site called "Angie's List" which rates various services here in the US. I don't know if she offers a free trial, but you might want to check there as well.

Also, it may be that one of our friends here may be a member of AL and can take a look on the list for you. She's pretty much "right on the mark" with her ratings.

Admittedly, I didn't read too much about them, being that they're mostly "blowing their own horn", so to speak, but I hope they're legit.

Re: Bongo boy TV

I'd have a hard time taking Bongo Boy seriously.  I definitely wouldn't pay someone to broadcast my work unless it was my idea to start.

Re: Bongo boy TV

I never heard of it.  It's possible that it could be one of the stations provided by the satellite companies (a station that probably few people actually watch), but never saw it offered on Cable.  The major cable providers are Comcast, Cox, and Time Warner (there may be another but it's not coming to me).  The major satellite companies are Dish and DirecTV.  I'd look into the providers directly and see if anyone carries that actual channel if I were you.

EDIT TO ADD:  It could also be a free over the air broadcast station that's only available in select areas.  More and more American's are "pulling the plug" and going with OTA TV service now-a-days to save money.  In that sense, to augment the loss of "Cable" many of us are using internet TV services (like Amazon Prime, Netflix, and HULU Plus).  There are billions of "channels" available on the Roku (a streaming device for internet services like those mentioned and many others) that are broadcast either free or for a monthly fee (like the previously mentioned).  This could be one of THOSE... in that case, you'd be better off paying for a spot on CDBABY or some other video broadcast service, IMHO.
