I have several guitars, well 4 acoustic, one electric bass( 20 years) african tom drums( 4 years), 3 jews harps ( 15 years), a mouth organ hmm still trying to play it), 2 electric violins ( my wife plays them), one acoutic violin( she plays this also) , tin whistle in D or A ( 6 months), and a bodhran ( 1 year and still learning)
played acoustic guitar for about 15 years.
I find I play my stagg twelve string guitar most just now, just for the lovely jingly jangly sound you get from a 12 stringer.
and other times iwalk about the house with my wee Ozrak baby guitar. I normally take this away with me when I go walking up the hills for a few days but also very handy to walk about the house with.
My latest guitar is a solid top Lorenzo acoustic, not bad sound, not the greatest wither but it does me fine.
I have always wanted a triangle for some reason. hmmm, might be next on my list.

I play saxophone, for four almost five years now. I always wanted to play it and well I play it now <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_smile.gif" border=0 alt="Smile">

I play acoustic guitar. I've played for almost 4 years this July.
I've been playing the guitar for 4 years and a bit of piano for the same time....but never got the chance to take classes <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_sad.gif" border=0 alt="Sad">

I am first and formost a drummer....
county swing and cut time for
30+ years.... lots of bands.
I have an old Lyra 3 piece from the
60's with planet z cymbols and a New york pro 4 piece. Picked up guitar by watching others and started on bass in the mid 80's. I have a Hohner flat top, an Oscar Smidt washburn, an Alverez acoustic electric, and a new york pro 6 string. Also 2 silvertone basses
and a series 10. play bass now in a 3 piece country band it's a blast!
Peace.... Slim
I play a Mexican Strat......well, I try to play it anyway!
I've only been playing for a couple of months.
I like to sing (mostly songs that tell stories) and play guitar to accompany myself. Usually play solo & there by avoid the head trips that sometimes happen because of conflicting egos.
Used to play bass and sing lead in a band, but got tired of drunks knocking over my equipment in bars. Don't have a bass at the moment, not a very good solo insturment.
I mostly play a Fender F65 flat top six string these days. Have an old Vox wildcat. Have a violin, but haven't taken the time to learn it. Have several harmonicas, haven't played them much since I was a kid.
I hope to get a seven string arch top in the near future, but can't fit it into the budget yet. Been playing guitar since about the same time the Beatles hit the U.S.
Incidently, if anyone is looking for a pretty good imitation ES335 an Oscar Schmit OE30 will give you a lot of bang for your buck. A friend of mine has one and it's an amazingly good guitar for the money. Musitions Friend has them right now for $149.95. (no I don't work for them, It's just a good deal)

I play accoustic guitar. I've been playing guitar for about 7 months, but 4 years ago I played flute for 1 year...I'm 16 now. I don't take lessons for guitar, I get the chords and lyrics off this site.
I've played blues harp for over twenty years. Started acoustic guitar about 19 months ago. Loving every bit of it.
....Badeye.
excuse my ignorance badeye but is a blues harp different from a harp harp?
When I was out at a folk gathering on Wednesday night a young girl was playing a harp and singing, itsounded great and she had a really really great voice. Was the best version of "green fileds of france" i have ever heard.

Bought my first accoustic when I was 14, put it in a cupboard for ten years, then started learning at 24! 37 now tho'. Played blues harp for a fair old time an all. Does anyone else have a twelve string they just dont play?
Ken, a blues harp is a harmonica (but I'm sure you knew that)
And marsdad, yes I have a twelve string that I got fed up of and gave to my son.
But I wouldn't mind getting one of those 60's Rickenbacker models.
cheers
David
I played a bit of piano, but I stopped after a couple years.
Currently, I've been playing classical guitar for 5 yrs and acoustic for one, acoustic generally self taught.
Guitar about 45 years and Mandolin 5 years...have played around with Banjo, piano, and bass over the years...
Hmm, let's see... piano (badly 4 20yrs ), 6 string guitar, 12 string guitar, uke, banjo, cello, recorder, harmonica and concertina...yes, I did say concertina. I play all fairly well, except for concertina...just bought that.
What's a concertina?
concertina (noun) small concert performed by females .
or possibly
a wee squeeze box,
And nope, never knew a blues harp was a harmonica ,lol
I keep hinking i cannot learn anymore as well, I can be wrong sometimes I guess.
