Topic: Acoustic Bass Strings

I just acquired my first acoustic bass, an Applause by Ovation.  I promptly broke a string.  So new strings are in order.  Any suggestions on type and weight of strings?

just from any type Of guitar,, untill your used to it,, I would go with a light set round wound.

Would also recommend round-wounds over flat-wounds. I know that sound preferences and music styles differ, but I just find that flat wounds have a lot less ring to them.
