Topic: Today it is snowing in Crete

During  the  8  or  so  years  I've been here  this  is only  the  second  time I've seen this where  we  are ,Usually  the villages  at   higher  altitudes get  a  covering  of the  horrible  white  stuff  but not  here  in  Agios  Georgios.
Could it  be the  worlds way  of  preparing  me  for  my  UK  trip  next week  end . I  came  here  to  sing  and  bask in  glorious sunshine  not  to  freeze  me nads  off!!!!
Any  body  got a  dog  sled  to  lend ? I'm off to  round  up some strays.

Grah1, Sorry to hear of your problem. As I read your post you went to Crete to sing and now you are worried about your cold, cold nads. This could be a serious problem with the potential of causing you to sing "off-key". Sure hope you are able to find some stray nads along with a dog sled to haul them around in. Lots of luck.

I lived there in the  early 60's and never saw it snow.  That's odd, but it also snowed here in southern Utah last week.  About 6 inches.  That is also odd.

The weather sure does some odd things lately  , i bet the country hasn`t ground to a halt like it does here in England at the first drop of snow to fall !!

Never  grinds to  a halt   over here as it doesn't  seem to  stick,  only  on the  tops  of  the  mountains  which  thankfully are some distance away  ,But  its  very  cold  tonight .Still I've got my  love to  keep  me  warm ( didnt  some one  sing that once?)

some comforting news for you grah, it's quite mild here in the old country, wet but mild.

bensonp, sounds like you need the nad warmer, if you got 6 inches of snow, that's almost in touching distance.....

Phill I  have  no doubt  that  when I  get  on the plane  next Sunday  the  cold spell will follow me and remain in close proximity  for the  next  3 months .I just hope I get a  warm reception at what ever venues I manage to play .

Not  unless I  get an invite from any  one  there  ,I  think I  may have  a  couple  in London  maybe  round march if all goes  well   and maybe  a  charity  night in Wolverhampton  if  my  mate  Mal  has  got  his  act  together .But I  wont really  be  sure  about    any  venues  till  I  get  there  as its  all  down to  my  UK  mates .Certainly  nothing  till  after  New year  . The  purpose  of this trip  is  two fold  mainly to  take  care  of  my  mates  place  while  he's  in India  but  secondly  to  try  and  secure   a winter  tour  for  GB Blues  and maybe  a  greek  band in the UK .
