Topic: NGD

Hello all....I am recently retired and now in position to learn how to play the guitar....I saved and purchased a Martin GC MMV. I know it's  kinda "high end" for a novice to learn on but I knew it would inspire me and considered it an investment. I appreciate everyone welcoming me to Chordie and I will be calling on you all for questions and help. I'm really excited to learn...Thanx everyone for the advice so far! Pics coming soon!

Amartin guitar is a great investment glad you were able too start out with the best.

I am guilty of having guitars far beyond my current reach but I am getting closer.

I see the same thing as Roger. Unless Martin makes air guitars. I didn`t want to say anything just in case I was the only one not getting them.

Jeff, the last part of one of these Flickr! photos is: f59708f842_m.jpg

Try changing the 'm' before the '.jpg' to a 'z' for slightly larger or to a 'c' for larger picture still.

I warned you the fingertips are gonna hurt! If you can survive a couple of weeks, you'll build up some nice callouses and your 80% there. I really believe the main reason most beginners quit is they can't get through the finger pain. Callouses are a badge of honor, wear them proudly!
