Topic: Recording songs using a Boss BR-600

Hi guys,

I have ordered, and hope to receive very shortly, a Boss BR-600.  I have always wanted to record my playing/singing (cover songs though as I have not tried to write my own material yet).  I am hoping it will improve my playing.  Has anyone any tips - for example do I start with the drum track 1st, or record the guitar 1st, singing last?  Any hints/tips very much appreciated.

Drum track first, rhythmn guitar, lead embellishments, vocals.

Playing to drums will certainly improve your playing, as will listening to your own vocals, don't be too down-heartened by how your voice sounds.

Famous instance of band recording in wrong order 'Reproduction' by the Human League, left the drums till last and then had to keep chopping the tempo.
