Topic: about styles

I've been listening to slashes guitar solo's on "knocking on heavens door". I'm trying to categorize the style. rock, rock based blues, country? I'm looking for other opinions.  Thank you, Danny

Blues rock IMO. If I remember it's a minor pent/blues scale/dorian sort of thing. But who cares what ya call it so long as ya like it?

+1 with BGD. Definatly blues based. lots of new bands are going back to that style. Im tired of teh bach rock 100notes a min that dont have any feeling.  (Halestorm  and Volbeat are some modern examples)
