Re: What are your favorite movies

This one may be seen only as a cult movie by many, but 'Vanishing Point' is certainly the best road movie ever made (with the possible exception of Steinbecks' Grapes of Wrath).
'V.P.' isn't just a car chase - it's a slice of what America was like in the 70's. (Oh yes, the car chase bits are peerless!)

Re: What are your favorite movies

A few of mine have also been mentioned but ill say them anyhow. And I’ll try to be chronological.
I also am a Star Trek guy.  Since I was born when they were not re-runs, I love all the original TV/ and all the Movies along with TNG movies. The crossover movie with Picard and Kirk was great! The New one W/ JJ Abrams.  Waiting for the 2nd one!
James Bond!! Proud owner of the official Box set of DVD’s + the only Unauthorized movie (Never say Never again) the new Casino Royal, Quantum of solace, and waiting for price to come down on Skyfall. (Though I did burn it to my computer if that counts). And a dvd called gadgets of bond.
Clint east wood westerns and Harry Callahan movies. (along with his independent movies)
Best line from Grand Torino “Ever notice how you come across somebody once in a while you shouldn't have (edit) messed with? That's me”
Just about all Mel Gibson movies: Mad Maxx series, Lethal Weapon series, Braveheart,  The Patriot, WE WERE SOLIDIERS freaking awesome.
Add in best 3 Vietnam movies after We were Soldiers: Platoon, Apocalypse Now, and full Metal jacket.
Bat-Man (all of them no matter who.)
XXX with Vin Diesel
Iron man / Avengers
Serenity and although TV, FireFly Best ever series that Fox never “got”.
There are many many more. But that’s just the ones I can remember off the top of my head.

“Find your own sound.  Dont be a second rateYngwie Malmsteen be a first rate you”

– George Lynch 2013 (Dokken, Lynchmob, KXM, Tooth & Nail etc....)

VP was good - Try and get a copy of "Two Lane Blacktop". I think it's the only movie that James Taylor acted in. Worth a watch if you like road / chase movies.
