I caught a little bit of JB live in Vienna last night on tv. I must  say he is pretty good. I searched hi and low for tabs for the intro licks to this song but came up empty. I found tabs for his plugged in version but it is diff than this acoustic one. The part I'm looking for starts at :23.

Hi Z.  I'll be of little help on this because I'm not much of a picker, but it sounds to me like he's riffing on the Fm pentatonic scale.
E:  1,4
A:  1,3
D:  1,3
G:  1,3
B:  1,4
e:  1

Have a listen to this and then re-listen to Joe's video a few times and see if you can pick out what he's doing.

You got it exactly right Astro. I think he throws in an F# on the low E string at the end of the phrase.
