Why would that be shameful?  And welcome to the Chordie forums.  I see you've been a member for a while.  We're glad you decided to come join the conversation.

Re: are these really the top 100 songs on chordie????

Welcome to the forum.

I can't find it just now, but I recall reading a post a (long) while back where the admin explained how the "top" rankings of the songs on chordie were determined.  It pretty much made no sense to me and seemed to indicate (if memory serves) that they weren't based on stats or data.  In other words, they were kinda random.

Anyway, I might be totally off (I've slept since then), but there it is.

Re: are these really the top 100 songs on chordie????

I never look at the songs because as a rule I don't like playing covers, but I just looked at the list and there's only one song I've ever played back when I used to play 'em.  Several good good songs on the list but just not my style.

Re: are these really the top 100 songs on chordie????

i also read through the list and where i've never heard of most of the songs, there's only a couple of artistes that i'd heard of. the low points being; the spice girls and madonna!

i only trawl through the library when i'm looking for a particular song. stats and listings dont really concern me. i only get annoyed when the song i'm looking for isnt there.

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

Re: are these really the top 100 songs on chordie????

Yep, that's it.  Post #2 in that thread.  I think I noticed it when somebody resurrected it back in July 2011, so my memory isn't as good as you give me credit for.  smile

Re: are these really the top 100 songs on chordie????

Those are the top 100 songs. There is no law saying you have to like them. If you look at the tabs, you will find that there are a couple more songs than the top 100 listed.
