Topic: transpose

Help please .  I have a song that  I play with a recording but it is on capo 3 I  want to play it without a capo  because as the chords get higher on the neck I have a problem with finger placement.  I want to play it with the recording and be in tune without the capo.  I can't figure it out

Re: transpose

Hi there,

A, A#, B, C, C#, D, D#, E, F, F#, G, G#

You can do it yourself using the above list. The capo is on the third fret so take a chord, say E. Now now count up 3: 1 = F, 2 = F# and 3 = G. You just have to remember that if you get to G# you start again at A.

If it happens to be a flat key they progression is:

A, Bb, B, C, Db, D, Eb, E, F, Gb, G, Ab
