Topic: Traveling in June

June will be a busy month for me. I will travel every weekend and be out of the country from the 17th to the end of the month. I am excited and anxious which is always the case for me. No new locations but two weeks in Eastern Europe will be both old and new. The BIG question is do I take my "travel guitar" with me? I think the answer must be YES. A whole month without playing? Unthinkable.

You may have noticed, June 17th is Father's Day and yes I leave the country on that day. If I am not ostracized for this untimely departure I'm considering "asking" for guitar lessons, or at least a start to them. One CAN teach an old dog new tricks but I think it might be easier if the dog has help. My goal? I'm glad you asked. I think my goal might be to join my virtual friends here at Chordie for one of them there virtual jams using the new-fangled and space-age information superhighway. I will mail each of you a set of foam ear plugs for the benefit of all. Heck, I might even wear a pair!

Re: Traveling in June

DJ - It would be fab if you'd join us for a skype jam!  No ear plugs needed, TRUST ME, no one is awesome - no one has perfect guitar playing AND perfect pitch - we're all just a bunch of hacks like yourself!  LOL!  I am curious though, what takes you away?  I'm assuming this is all work related, but what type of work excatly if I may ask?

Yes, bring that guitar with - and guitar lessons sound like a great gift for Father's Day, but again, don't let the lack of them stop you from joining us!  smile

Amy

ps - safe travels sir!  and an early HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to you!

Join us and you'll quickly learn that there is no need to be shy.  It's a bunch of back-porch pickers demonstrating delusions of adequacy and occasional flashes of competence.

As far as travelling, take the guitar.  You're travelling, that's why you have a travel guitar.  Right?

Lessons or not, as you see fit.  But don't let it get in the way of joining in on one of our virtual picker's circles.
