If I can't find a song on the internet how do I write a song and inport it to my ipad?

Basically, you can copy the .cho format from another song file
- add your song, and check that it displays well in the format (google search for web pages that do this for you)
- put your new song up on a server somewhere
- then use the link above to get the song added to chordie

Another option is downloading the files and using OnSong. That way, you don't even need to connect to the web to get access to your songs.
Chordie is great, but I also love having my files available anytime. I actually have OnSong both on my phone and iPad.
