Topic: a song about transgender

when i began writing this song it had nothing to do with sex change, but as it progressed i could see the way it was going, so i went with it. there is a reference to the kinks "Lola" but that song was about cross dressing not going the "full hog"

Blind Circle.Undefined

[G] I don't believe you can [Bm] cry.

[Em] I've never seen a single tear in your eye.

[G] I don't believe you feel [Bm] love.

[Em] It's just a another little step in your life.

(BRIDGE)

And I [Am] don't believe you can, [D] live like a woman.

[Em] Giving and taking your [C] time.

[Am] I, don't believe you'd be [D] happy

As something that, [Em] you know and I knows a [C] lie.

(CHORUS)

[Dm] One night stands [C] don't [G] work.

[Dm] One night stands [C] just [G] hurt.

[Dm] One night you'll find that you're [F] locked in blind circle.

[G] Running around and around and around and around and [Em] around.

[G] I don't believe you can [Bm] feel.

[Em] You don't know pain like the rest of us do.

[G] You'll go under the [Bm] knife.

[Em] You'll be different the rest of your life.

(REP BRIDGE & CHORUS)

[G] Today you're dressed as a [Bm] man.

[Em] Tonight in make-up and high heels and spandex.

[G] You walk the streets with-out [Bm] fear.

[Em] Still, everyone knows you're Lola “my dear .

(SOLO OVER VERSE & BRIDGE) >(CHORUS)

||:[G] I only know what I [Bm] know.

[Em] And what I know is you've still far to go:||

Re: a song about transgender

Hey Phill - Interesting song. I'll have to hear it to get how it is played. I have heard the expression going the "full monty", but I've never heard of going the "full hog".

Re: a song about transgender

hi jeff, full monty came to fame as the title of the male strippers film which started the male stripper stuff in the UK. full hog, well i don't know where that saying originated but it's been around as long as i have, maybe it's a UK thing?

as for the recording, i'm having trouble getting songs onto my PC, then onto sound click or myspace, and the quality is pretty awful too, but i'll keep trying, and when i get some results i'll let you all know.

Re: a song about transgender

hi phill you have put the points of the topic across well, but crossdressing should be restricted to comedy sketches on stage not out in real life,i dont like seeing them it does'nt seem natural to me,but you have to live and let live......stay cool

love is life ,life is for love, keep a true heart and live life to the full....stay cool
