Topic: Help with the picking of Soon as I get paid - Keb Mo

Hi,

I'm struggling to get the picking right on this song. I'm trying to do it by ear because nowhere can I find any tabs for it. Is there anyone who can help me please?

Good luck.  If you can figure out Keb Mo's style, you're a far better picker than I am.  Keb Mo does have an instructional video out on how to play like Keb Mo.

I'm about three or four books and a DVD away from buying that.  He has a very distinctive style that incorporates a lot of different elements.

Keb Mo has another homespun DVD that might be more applicable; he doesn't do "soon as I get Paid" on it, but he does do "Perpetual Blues Machine" and "Angelina", and the DVD comes with tabs.  You can find it here:  http://www.homespuntapes.com/Instrument … -of-keb-mo
