Topic: Time for a change...

And this is my intended goal...

I'm about done with my Squire '51 telestrat. It's great for Jazz with the Charlie Christian I put in it...but I cannot get the strat tones that I seek with it. There is no other alternative BUT to get a strat for the John Mayer/Hendrix/gospel tones I am aiming for.

Position 2 has me by the soul-strings and there's no substitute for that fundamental sound.

Hi detman ,good too see you back again. Maybe you can sell the telestrat and find a regular strat, I have a mexican made strat and it sounds as good as a american made,and sells for a lot cheaper.

I have a Knockoff strat made in China you can see it on my web site it plays and sounds every bit as good as an American made strat mine is a Standard S101 check it out it only runs new around $200 I ordered a blond ash neck and I have a friend who is a wizard with woodworking I want the body to be candy apple red how cool is that smile

look at AXL strats and Rondo.  dont know what you feel like spending.   W/ a good set up and fret file (which every guitar needs no matter what) the AXLs are pretty nice for teh low cost.

I actually found a Vintage Modified SSS Strat in 3-color sunburst!
