i had a funny dream last night....elton john was standing in for roger hodgeson in supertramp live gigs??? i know i've been listening to supertramp live in paris lately, and i also have a recording (somewhere) of elton john singing with queen live in paris! maybe i've subconciously mixed the two up. silly realy as elton john could never hit the notes in dreamer.

anyone else had a weird and wonderful dream?

Re: i had a dream

I very rarely remember my dreams. My wife tho, I can tell exactly where she gets her dreams from when she tells me about them. Mostly it has to do with what she watched on tv the day before. She has an very impressionable mind.

Keep Rockin!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: i had a dream

I have been sleeping lately, which is a good thing.  The amazing thing about it is that I have been dreaming again, or at least being conscious of dreaming again, which I'm not exactly sure how that works having to be unconscious to do it in the first place.   Anyway, I have been a capital A#1 bizarre dreamer in the past, but these dreams have been very realistic.  For instance, if I fall asleep on the couch, I'll dream that I'm sleeping on the couch and getting awakened by my children, but when I awake of course my children are sound asleep in their beds where they belong.  Extraordinarily mundane.  I hope to be getting back to dreaming of dwarves with interchangeable canoe feet and clinically depressed saber-toothed vampires with hilarious overbite accents again soon.  Those were dreams worth dreaming.   And the flying.  Oh.... I miss the flying dreams.  It felt so wonderful to fly, even if it wasn't real.  Tripping at the top of a long set of stairs, having a  moment of panic only to realize that I ought to have been bouncing off cement by now but was not and then the feeling of weightlessness sinking in (well, I suppose that's a misnomer).  Those were wonderful dreams.  But dreaming of sleeping.  Seriously.  How boring could my subconscious mind be?  It's practically an insult.  Been going on as a recurring theme for a while now.  I must get back to weirdness and defiance of physics as quickly as possible.

Re: i had a dream

Quite a few times, prior to my picking up a guitar again, I would have dreams where I would be on stage playing all my favorites and hitting every single note. I would be up there with a Gibson Les Paul and just killing. Rhythm, lead, everything. I was Michael Schenker, Eric Johnson, Rik Emmet, James Hetfield, Ritchie Blackmore, Layne Staley...Every guitar god I loved to listen to.

Then I would wake up.

Since I picked up the guitar again, nearly a year and a half ago, I have not had that dream. I still play sometimes in my dream but I am just bunbun.

Re: i had a dream

i've never dreamt i was someone else, but i did dream once i could play fabulous piano! i've dreamt many times of jumping from the top of the stairs in my grandmothers house, and just as i hit the floor i wake-up...
zurf you (used) to have the most wonderful dreams!

i was told by my mother i shouldn't eat cheese before going to bed as i'd have dreams! (i love cheese) so i eat loads before bed just to dream. it doesn't work by the way!

I guess I had better not describe all the sorts of things that used to show up as pack animals.  Perhaps the racing slug was the oddest.   Poor thing.  It met its demise at some salt flats.  All that was left was a saddle and a puddle.

Re: i had a dream

I very rarely recall dreaming.  My most vivid however were each time I was pregnant.  No matter what situation I was in, I drempt somehow that my husband died (in a very unrealistic way of course - like a hunting accident in our front yard next to the road) and I would go to sleep in my dream and awake crying.  I would awake LITERALLY CRYING, and it would take me a good five minutes to realize that it was just a dream.  I'm so glad I'm not EVER going to be pregnant again.  I can't handle those types of dreams.
