Still playing around with Black leaf falls Im having fun with it... Here's a quick sample of it I recorded a few minutes ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58k615Cc … AAAAAAAAAA and yea I know I'm playing it a little faster than the original
Speed of the sound of Loneliness and, Souveniors, both by John Prine.
Trying to learn good treble picking patterns for both songs. Bass/thumb picking is easy for me but, the g, b and e not so much. Also still working on 'Hello in there' Got a lot of help on it from Wayne, a fellow Chordian, he was very generous of his time and i really appreciate it, thanks again Wayne. I kind of hit a wall with that one and am letting it rest a while. b
I am doing a slowed down fingerpicking version of Neil Youngs Cowgirl in the Sand.
"Friend of the devil" and "Fishing in the dark" so far today but I'm just getting stated as I'm home sick today... I plan to spend the rest of the evening sitting on the bed with Chordie and an acoustic So I imagine I'll be posting in this thread often today
I've been working on Jimmy Buffett's Jolly Man lately. My daughter wants me to learn "Mean" and "You Belong With Me" by Taylor Swift. I told her I'd learn them if she will sing with me. I've got the chords printed out. I've been working hard on scales to lead to improved soloing over the melody, as that will be necessary to do reasonable covers. My daughter is just ten years old, so she is going to expect it to be done like Taylor Swift does it. Maybe it will be the excuse I need to get a banjotar, which is what Taylor Swift plays in Mean.

I just finished polishing up the acoustic version of " When I'm alone" by Brandon Heath. I got done last week recording sixteen songs so I took a break from playing but I am again picking up my guitar and looking for new songs.
"Gin and Juice" by The Gourds
"Jammin'" by Marley
"Free" & "Heading Home" by Donavon Frankenreiter
"She's Only Happy in The Sun" by Ben Harper
"King of The Carrot Flowers" by Neutral Milk Hotel
Working on Silver Wings - Merle Haggard

Zurf, I really like your approach on this project. If you get a banjotar ,
tell her you bought it for her and she needs to have a solo ready on it
in two weeks. Hope to hear you guys in U-Tube or a Chordie Skype Jam.
Skynyrd and Low by cracker.Breakdown by tom Petty.Roadhouse blues by the doors. And a few others
Trying to get a good job on "Lover Lover" by Jerrod Niemann.
I plan to use my Helicon Vocal Harmonizer to get 3-part harmony.
I think I found a simple guitar line that has high energy and won't step on the vocal too much.
I stumbled through it twice. It may clean up before I kick the bucket.

No, he did Three Little Birds.
I read that as "Ray Lamontague's Three Little Birds" and just assumed he'd covered it. I guess I should start drinking earlier in the day...
Shucks yes. I'm on my first pint.
