Topic: I NEED HELP!!! please!!!

im doing an assignment for school and im

going to perform a song but it needs to

be on "dreams and reality".

So if you know any songs with this kind of

message in it.. i could really do with

your help!!!

try the song called " absolute reality" by the band "the alarm"


chords on the chordie site. And I am sure you could managed to get an mp3 of this song from the net somewhere.


( I love the alarm by the way and their lyrics are superb)

I haven't been a member very long, but is

there a search engine that you could put

in "dream" and "reality" and come up with

Perhaps this is way out of your frame of reference, but check out "Beautiful Dreamer" by Stephen Foster (the Bob Dylan of his day).  It is an old standard from the late 1800's and besides having a beautiful lyric, the melody is lovely and the chords are relatively simple.


There are several good websites dedicated to Foster's legacy, some have recordings.  I have (I think) attached a lyric/chord sheet that may be helpful.

Get a copy of Jeff Green's "The Green Book". It's the industry standard for finding songs by topic. I think you can get it on line.
