Topic: Effects Chain

Ok I read this  http://www.harmonycentral.com/docs/DOC-1351

and this  http://www.harmonycentral.com/docs/DOC-1871

but neither of them cover having a multi effects processer in the chain.

I have been running mine at the end of the chain.  I will usually set the RP to a clean settting with the chorus and use the amps reverb setting so I can control it on the fly.  Same with the stomps. I'll leave the RP clean and hit either my delay or dist or whatever im looking for.

But the main question is,,, Does It really matter?

Thanks.

Re: Effects Chain

It only matters if you're not getting the tone you like.  My only concern is that my in-line tuner goes first, and my loop pedal goes last.  Other than that, season to taste.

Someday we'll win this thing...

Re: Effects Chain

ive found havin too much between guitar and amp sucks tone, less is more for me. i go wah, overdrive(i use the amps dist) chorus then delay. this works best for me. theres no set way, whatever sounds good to you, like jerome.oneil says, season to taste

its not what you play thru, its what you play thru it

Re: Effects Chain

Well technically that is what send and return loops are for, so that you can go guitar to amp. but I dont have any amps with the loop feature.  I have never noticed a drop in sound with my stomps.

Re: Effects Chain

my amps have loops, dont care for them, i would need extra long cords to bring it out to where my mic stand is, all club stages are different, and electricity too. the less wires you have all spread out the better. sometimes we practice with no effects on vocals or guitars, i notice a huge difference.
